since i mainly listed sports fandoms, i really like seeing team dynamics :)

general dislikes: non-con between the pairing (i'm ok with dub-con), and although i like miyuki fine i don’t much care for miyuki ships (i.e. miyuki is welcome to appear if he’s single and not looking)

hikaru no go: what if nase and iijima both made it to pros? what if mitani and kaneko went to the same high school and started up another go club? what if touya time traveled to the heian period and met sai?

yowapeda: fukutomi is a ruler of some kind, shinkai is the captain of his guard. or, them at university together, maybe as roommates.

anything else: my ao3 is psidn, but i’m not very consistent at using bookmarks, so i don’t know how helpful that will be. i hope you have an idea of what you would like to make, I HOPE YOU HAVE FUN!

Meta: AkiHika Arranged Marriage AU

notes: This is actually just meta but I wanted this much of the header; I was going to write you an arranged marriage AU during SASO and it got wayyyy out of hand but I figure! I can still! Belatedly gift you my notes!! These are typed up off the index card I did my planning on, lol.


-Akira is a member of a long-lived alien race, who are stewards of their galaxy
-Hikaru is a spoiled, sheltered prince of a race frequently possessed by their dead
-Akira has been playing a cosmic game of Go with his father for years to divine his destiny, the specifics of which have finally become clear
-Akira jets across the galaxy to meet his predestined husband and is sorely unimpressed until Sai rears his head

ROUGH OUTLINE:

-Akira + Touya Meijin play prophecy Go
-transition scene of Akira's ship arriving at Hikaru's planet, likely with Ogata on board
-Akira meets Hikaru for cultural exchange as per marriage arrangements, sees the planet night life, is dragged into Hikaru's idea of a game, isn't impressed
-Sai emerges at the end, wows Akira, shows him a glimpse of the person Hikaru will one day become, and plays a game of Go with him, like a form of conversation
-Akira drags Hikaru to a third party location that's more like his planet, to give him some Touya culture in return, partially in the hope that it will help awaken future Hikaru
-formal dinner before the wedding where everything settles
-the actual wedding ceremony
-the retiring together scene, to unwind and, ideally, consummate the marriage. Hopeful ending.


Basically I just!! Was really excited to write an arranged marriage IN SPACE, complete with lots of cultural differences based on Akira and Hikaru's differing alien races, and I was going to have soooooo much fun with the night life on Hikaru's planet and depicting the different traditions... And Go was going to happen, because there is no such thing as a hikago AU which doesn't somehow still have Go in it.

Also now you can see what sort of fresh hell my story notes look like. This is the level of planning I often work from, HAPPY CHRISTMAS.

LIRA I LOVE IT thank you for sharing!! prophecy go sounds so cool and perfect for this au, and i love anything that includes sai obviously :') hikaru as a spoiled prince of a race that gets possessed by their dead is SO GOOD i love the possibilities of that so much

also i think this is still more planning than i usually do haha

PS I AM DEAD but i'm here to talk about old kingdom krry more!!

i like the idea of a kuramochi from far enough south in ancelstierre that he thinks magic is a fake and that people from up near the wall are weirdos... and then for whatever reason he has to go up there and maybe there's something happening? all these people cryptically saying that the wind is from the north and he's just ???? until something REALLY HAPPENS and idk the dead show up or sth and it's terrifying... and then this guy with pink hair and bells across his chest shows up. AND ALSO MOGGET PROBABLY BC I LOVE RYOUSUKE AND MOGGET. and idk something lights up in kuramochi... i feel like he would be such a great paperwing pilot, which means... that he'd need to be something of a charter mage ig?? that would be such a thing for him, coming from being sure hours earlier that magic wasn't real.

u can also consider this an IOU for a meme/saso fill type request that i will attempt for u at a later date.

oh my goddddddddd YES TO EVERYTHING paperwing pilot kuramochi is SO PERFECT*, it really would be such a good fit for him :') mogget and ryousuke together is so much to handle and so good, picture me sobbing while i imagine this

*there is a part of me that is thinking about an old kingdom pilot uniform and how that would be very good and how ryousuke would agree with me about it being very good lol

i can't remember if there is a pilot uniform but like he could design one... bc he likes to look cool and then be all :3c about it... krry goin flying together...
